Project Angel Tree Update

By now, your office should have received your requested number of angels to benefit in RRAR’s annual Project Angel Tree. Each angel will have written on it a code number, age, sex and a desired gift from the angel’s wish list.

We recommend that you begin shopping for that gift ASAP in order to meet the deadline and avoid increasing holiday traffic over the next three weeks. You have until Tuesday, Nov. 30 to return the gift you have purchased for your angel.

Remember, you are not required to buy the gift listed on the angel. If the requested item is too expensive or unobtainable, please purchase an alternate gift or a gift card for your angel. Whatever you buy, note that all gifts must be new purchases.

Each angel has a self-adhesive backing, and each must be attached to the wrapped gift when you deliver it to the RRAR offices by Nov. 30.

If you have not received what you have requested or have more questions about Project Angel Tree 2010, call Priscilla Erwin at (919) 654-5400 ext. 216 or e-mail her at priscillae@rrar.com with the subject line of “Angel Tree.”

The Community Service Committee is proud to sponsor Project Angel Tree 2010. More than 12,000 gifts have been distributed to deserving children from underprivileged families in the past. The committee raised funds for this year’s Project Angel Tree earlier with a Dine Out event held Oct. 7, where Bocci Italian Trattoria and Pizzeria, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Texas Roadhouse donated 10 percent of their food sales that day to Project Angel Tree. The Community Service Committee appreciates the support of these restaurants as well as all RRAR members participating in this annual charitable benefit.
