Neighborhood Highlight – The Villages of Apex By RRAR

The Villages of Apex are conveniently located on U.S. 64. This location offers families easy access to many Apex attractions, such as the Halle Cultural Arts Center, Apex High School and the Thales Academy private school. The community is in close proximity to historic downtown Apex, which features many buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Villages of Apex is also close to Raleigh, Cary, Research Triangle Park and Jordan Lake.  This area was named Community of the Year in 2008 by the North Carolina Homebuilders Association

The Villages of Apex plans to provide many amenities on its 202 acres. Some of the current and planned amenities include a lap pool, fitness center, residents’ clubhouse, aerobics room, baseball and soccer fields, a stocked pond, Hunter Street Park, pocket parks, a dog park and walking trails. In addition to these great features, the community is within walking distance to illuminated tennis courts at Apex High School and Apex Community Center.

The Villages of Apex include single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. The homes range in size from 1,695 to 2,628 square feet and can be customized by the buyer. They typically cost between $207,990 and $319,990. The townhomes range from 1,996 to 3,470 square feet and contain three to four bedrooms. The condominium units range from 659 to 1,877 square feet and range from one to two bedrooms and one to two and a half baths.

The Villages of Apex are divided into three sections based on the units found there. The North Village hosts the single-family homes, The Mill Village encompasses the townhomes and condominiums, and The South Village includes office space, retail shopping, restaurants, luxury townhomes and other condominiums.

Construction is now underway for the extension to the Apex Peakway. The new road will run through The Villages of Apex and provide instant access to Salem Street, N.C. 55 and Ten-Ten Road. When the Peakway is completed, more planned retail developments will occur at The Villages of Apex.
