Neighborhood Highlight Cloverdale in Garner

For an easy commute to downtown Raleigh, or a central location in north Garner, Cloverdale is an affordable neighborhood that is convenient for many home buyers. It features brick ranches on considerable lot sizes (typically anywhere from a half- to three-quarter-acres). Consequently, most of the homes in Cloverdale run on average much lower than most homes in Garner, or even in the Triangle. A smart home buyer can even get several bargains in the area for under $100,000, although properties do ranger up to the $200s.

Most of the homes in this community date back to the 1950s and 1960s, though many have been remodeled. Cloverdale has a nice mix of longtime residents, young couples, and families who see the area as a great investment. Around 800 people call Cloverdale home.

Cloverdale consists of less than a half-square mile of houses and other properties on the southeast corner near the intersection of West Garner and Tryon road. Major thoroughfares include Southerland Road, Randell Road and Northview Street.

Lying east of U.S. 70 before it merges with U.S. 401, Cloverdale has convenient access to I-40 to the south and I-440 to the north. It lies near downtown Garner (, which is undergoing a renaissance thanks to the effort of the Garner Revitalization Association and the Town of Garner.

With its affordable properties, short commute to Raleigh and Johnston County, and plenty of room for growth, Cloverdale is definitely a community for those who are seeking neighborhoods on the rise. For home buyers who can appreciate a centrally located, mature community and who are not seeking out a new home, Cloverdale is hard to beat.
