WASHINGTON: The President has signe the Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension!!!

The existing credit for first-time buyers of $8,000 would be extended until April 30 and expanded to give a credit of $6,500 to existing homeowneres who have lived in their current homes five consecutive years. It is aimed at broadening availability of the credit and give an additional boost to the weakened real estate market and prevent investors from benefiting.
The creidt is extended beyond Dec. 1 to all contracts entered into by April 30, and closed by July 1. Income limits would be raised to $125,000 for singles and $250,000 for couples, from $75,000 and $150,000 respectfully.
